What Is Qwo?

Qwo is a first-of-its-kind, FDA-approved injectable treatment used to reduce and eliminate the appearance of moderate to severe cellulite on the buttocks. Qwo is comprised of enzymes called collagenases, which redistribute fat cells, release fibrous bands, and encourage collagen production; in turn, there is a release of the cellulite dimples.

Consultation

Before your first treatment, we always schedule an initial consultation. This appointment allows one of our doctors to explain the treatment in detail, review your medical history, and examine your areas of concern.

Procedure

Prior to injection, each dimple will be marked with a surgical marker. The patient will lie face-down on the table while Qwo is subcutaneously injected into the area. The procedure itself lasts around 10 minutes, however, the patient must remain prone for 5 minutes after injections have been completed.

Recovery

After the procedure, you can expect soreness similar to that of soreness experienced after a good workout. Fortunately, this soreness lasts only a few days. You are encouraged not to engage in rigorous exercise for the first few days.

You may experience nodules and bruising for the first week to 10 days, however, after each subsequent round of treatment, bruising will diminish.
